Kathy, I didn't realize there were so many types of cataracts. I am sure you will notice a big change after surgery.

This is great info as well. I am going to see about a health presentation on this for my senior group.

You take care

Types
There are five types of cataracts: age related, congenital, radiation induced, traumatic and secondary. Age related cataracts are caused by the aging process affecting the protein in the eyes. Congenital cataracts are uncommon and affect babies and young children. Radiation induced cataracts develop after exposure to radiation. Traumatic cataracts form after an eye injury; however, the cataracts may not be evident for years after the injury. Secondary cataracts are the result of eye surgery or medical conditions, such as glaucoma or diabetes. cyclops

Had a meeting with the surgeon today. She said I have white cataracts and they were probably caused by a car accident I had 16 years ago.Guess you learn something new everyday.
I go back Thursday and should know the surgery date then.
She advised me that I need to take a week off after surgery and do no lifting at all.Not sure if we will put eBay on vacation that week or if Tim & Jenny will just take care of it for me. Arrow
